IMPORTANT: These Community and Marketplace Standards describe the conduct ShieldPort expects from Clients, Providers, and other Platform users to keep the marketplace trustworthy. They are incorporated by reference into the ShieldPort Terms of Service and should be read together with the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Fee and Refund Policy.
1. Purpose
ShieldPort connects Clients with independent Providers and offers e-commerce management, affiliate travel and concierge referrals, and curated affiliate products through one Platform. These Standards translate ShieldPort's stated values of trust through transparency, opportunity without borders, simplicity with purpose, quality and accountability, inclusive growth, and innovation in action into everyday expectations for how users treat one another.
2. Who This Applies To
These Standards apply to Clients, Providers, applicants, and any other user who posts content, communicates with another user, or otherwise participates in the Platform. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the ShieldPort Terms of Service.
3. Profile and Listing Standards
- Represent yourself accurately. A profile, portfolio, certification, or work history must reflect the user's genuine skills, experience, and identity.
- Describe work honestly. A Project posting or service listing must accurately state scope, price, timeline, and any material limitation or dependency.
- Keep listings current. Availability, rates, and service descriptions should be updated when they change materially.
- Use appropriate images and language. Profile photos, portfolio samples, and listing descriptions must be professional and free of content prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Communication Standards
- Be professional and respectful. Communicate in a manner appropriate to a professional working relationship, even when disagreeing about scope, price, or quality.
- Respond in good time. Acknowledge messages, proposals, and revision requests within a reasonable period, and set clear expectations when unavailable.
- Keep communication on-Platform where practical. Using Platform messaging for Project-related communication helps ShieldPort assist with a dispute if one arises.
- No harassment or discrimination. Users must not harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user based on a protected characteristic, consistent with the Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Fair Dealing Between Clients and Providers
- Clients should: provide accurate requirements and necessary access, respond to reasonable requests for clarification, review Deliverables within the stated period, and pay for properly performed work.
- Providers should: accept only work they are qualified and available to perform, communicate promptly about delays or obstacles, deliver what was agreed, and disclose material dependencies or third-party components.
- Both parties should: record material changes to scope, price, or timeline in writing through the Platform, and raise a concern promptly rather than after significant time has passed.
6. Review and Rating Integrity
Reviews and ratings help the community make informed decisions and must reflect a genuine, eligible interaction. A user may not buy, sell, fabricate, exchange, or coerce a review, or condition a Deliverable, payment, or refund on a particular rating, consistent with Section 15 of the Terms of Service and Section 5 of the Acceptable Use Policy. A user who receives an unfair or retaliatory review may request review under ShieldPort's reporting process rather than pressuring the reviewer directly.
7. Marketplace Category Expectations
ShieldPort spans several categories, including technology and cybersecurity, AI and data, design and creative, marketing and growth, business and finance, engineering and projects, e-commerce, and affiliate travel and concierge. A Provider offering Services in a specialized or regulated category, such as legal, financial, medical, or engineering work, should hold and disclose any license or credential required to lawfully perform that Service, consistent with Section 24 of the Terms of Service.
8. E-Commerce and Third-Party Account Standards
A Provider given access to a Client's Amazon, Noon, eBay, Shopify, Etsy, advertising, or other e-commerce account should treat that access as a position of trust: use only the access granted, avoid unnecessary changes, keep the Client informed of material account activity, and return or remove access at the end of the engagement, consistent with Section 12 of the Terms of Service.
9. Affiliate Travel, Concierge, and Product Conduct
ShieldPort's travel, accommodation, cruise, car-rental, tourism, concierge, and selected product features are affiliate, referral, informational, or redirect features. A user recommending or discussing these features on the Platform should not represent that ShieldPort books, confirms, or guarantees a third-party booking or purchase, consistent with Section 18 of the Terms of Service.
10. Dispute Resolution Etiquette
- Assume good faith first. Most disagreements arise from a misunderstanding about scope, timing, or expectations rather than bad intent.
- Use the record. When requesting ShieldPort's involvement under Section 10 of the Terms of Service, provide the relevant messages, Deliverables, and Order details rather than characterizations alone.
- No public retaliation. A user should raise a concern through the Platform's dispute or reporting channels rather than through public harassment, doxxing, or coordinated negative reviews.
11. Recognition and Consequences
ShieldPort may recognize users who consistently model these Standards through features such as badges, search visibility, or other disclosed marketplace signals, consistent with Section 15 of the Terms of Service. A pattern or serious instance of conduct inconsistent with these Standards may result in a warning, content removal, restricted visibility, suspension, or termination under Sections 20 and 21 of the Terms of Service and the enforcement provisions of the Acceptable Use Policy.
12. Reporting a Concern
A user who experiences or observes conduct inconsistent with these Standards should use the reporting channel published on the Platform or email [email protected] with reasonably sufficient detail to identify the issue.
13. Changes to These Standards
ShieldPort may update these Standards as the community and Platform grow. The revised version will state its effective date and will be made reasonably accessible through the Platform before it applies, consistent with Section 1 of the Terms of Service.
